Thanking and being grateful to Allah for the wealth bestowed upon us
Being Grateful To Allah and Thanking him for the favours and wealth conferred upon us Sahih Muslim Book 42, Number 7070:Abu
Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
Look at those who stand at a lower level than you but don't look at
those who stand at a higher level than you, for this would make the
favours (conferred upon you by Allah) insignificant(in your eyes). Abu
Mu'awiya said: Upon you.

BOYCOTTING QURAN
Boycotting Quran is of a number of types:
First Type: To boycott listening to it, having faith in it and concentrating on it.
Second Type:
To boycott acting upon it and restricting one's self to the boundaries
of that which is Permissible and that which is Impermissible – this
could be despite having faith in it.
Third Type:
To boycott applying its rulings and laws, and returning back to it in
the principles of the religion as well as its finer branches. Also, to
believe that the [information in the] Quran does not equate to absolute
certainty; believing that its written evidences do not equate to
certainty in knowledge.
Fourth Type: To boycott contemplating and understanding it, and knowing the intent of the One who spoke with it.
Fifth Type:
To boycott using it as a source of cure for all types of diseases of
the heart and its poisons. So you seek cure for the ailments of the
heart from other than the Quran and yet boycott the cure of the Quran.
All of these types of boycotting are included in the saying of Allah:
{And the Messenger (Muhammad) will say: "O my Lord! Verily, my people boycotted this Quran.} [25:30] [1]
Some of these types of boycotting may be less serious than others.
Footnotes:
[1] Shaykh As-Saadi said regarding this verse,
"{And
the Messenger will say} calling his Lord and complaining to Him about
how his people have rejected what he came with; he will regretfully say
{O my Lord! Verily, my people} to whom You sent me in order to guide
them and preach to them {have boycotted this Quran} i.e. they have
rejected, boycotted and left it. This is despite the obligation upon
them of submitting to its command and turning accepting its rules…"
[Tafseer As-Saadi, 25:30]
May Allah Taala grant us Quran's guidance in this life, its companionship in the grave, and its intercession in the hereafter.
