ALCOHOL : THE MOTHER OF EVILS  (Ummul khab’ais)

Alcohol has been termed as Ummul Khabais( i.e. Mother of Evils) in the hadith and is cause of so much curroption in our societies.As per official crime statistics ,Alcohol is the major factor behind many offences like road accidents,broken families,killings, abuses,rapes. and fights.

Almighty Allah mentions in the Quran that accursed Devil puts enmity between people by means of wine and causes mankind to become heedless of their Creator:

Verse # 1

"Satan seeks only to breed enmity and spite among you by means of wine and gambling and hinder you from remembering Allah and observing Prayer. Will you abstain (from these evil-generating temptations)?"

{Surah Maidah , Chapter 5 : Verse 91}

Verse #2

Consuming Liqour is mentioned as a major sin in the following verse of Qur'an:

They ask you about liquor and gambling Say: ‘Major sin lies in both of them and also some (worldly) profit for the people but their sin is greater than their profit...
